Special Education Teacher - Tullahoma, TN

Empower student success and provide key support as a Special Education professional in a dynamic school environment near Tullahoma, TN. This contract position is available immediately and extends through May 2027, with 37.5 hours per week. You’ll focus on delivering direct and indirect instructional minutes to approximately 23 students, supporting a diverse range of learning needs—including one student learning Braille—without case management responsibilities.

Qualifications and Endorsements:

• Hold an active, valid Tennessee Educator License issued by TNCompass (Practitioner or Professional tier).
• Possess at least one of the following TDOE Special Education endorsements:
  • Special Education Interventionist (K-8) or (6-12): Mild-to-moderate disabilities.
  • Special Education Comprehensive (K-12): Severe, profound, or complex disabilities.
  • Special Education Early Childhood (Pre-K-3): Early intervention focus.
• Demonstrate experience or strong interest in direct instruction with students with varying abilities.
• Familiarity with best practices in IEP implementation, progress tracking, and modified instruction.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective special education services as outlined in IEPs through direct/indirect instruction.
• Collaborate with general education staff and support teams to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation for service minutes, progress, and communication logs.
• Modify instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs.
