School-Based Social Worker - Bristol, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Active Social Worker (SW) license with School Social Worker endorsement (#071) is required
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively manage caseloads and document services
• Skilled in providing counseling, crisis intervention, and resource referrals to students and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct intervention, counseling, and support to students dealing with social, behavioral, and academic challenges
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop strategies that foster student success
• Conduct assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Connect families to community resources and assist with crisis situations as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality with all student records
• Advocate for students’ needs to ensure their wellbeing and educational access
• Take part in professional development opportunities as appropriate

This assignment runs from October 21st, 2026 through January 21st, 2027, and consists of a schedule of 35 hours per week.
