Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Connecticut
- Demonstrated prior experience working in a school setting
- Comfortable working with K-12 populations
- Must be able to fulfill fingerprinting and background check requirements set by the district
- Candidates must be able to work onsite; remote arrangements are not offered
- SLPAs are not eligible for these roles
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders in a K-12 setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with educational staff
- Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate progress with families and instructional personnel
- Ensure compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
