A contract opportunity is available for experienced paraprofessionals to support special education classrooms within schools located in Englewood, CO. This role requires candidates with a minimum of one full year of experience working in special education settings, with significant or severe caseload experience being strongly preferred. Positions are open for both elementary and middle school levels, offering a workweek of approximately 35-37 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students in special education classrooms.
- Assist with daily activities, including toileting and diapering as needed.
- Adapt to flexible assignments, with the possibility of reassignment to different school sites and age groups.
- Arrive promptly by 7:40 AM for elementary positions and 8:00 AM for middle school roles.
- Comply with required fingerprinting procedures immediately following offer acceptance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least one full year of experience in special education classrooms.
- Significant/severe caseload experience is highly preferred.
- Reliable personal transportation is mandatory (bus, Uber, or taxi are not acceptable).
- Candidates must have two completed Professional RefAssured references readily available; applications without these will not be considered.
- Must pass fingerprinting and background checks. Any felony or misdemeanor charges will result in rejection by the district.
- Ability to work within a $25 hourly rate or below.
