Blazer Jobs is actively hiring Summer School Paraprofessionals to support Extended School Year (ESY) programs throughout the San Francisco area. We are seeking dependable and student-focused professionals who are comfortable working within specialized classroom settings supporting students with academic, behavioral, developmental, and medical needs.
These opportunities are ideal for candidates with prior Special Education support experience who are prepared to provide hands-on assistance and contribute to a structured, supportive learning environment during the summer session.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide classroom and individualized student support throughout the ESY program
•Assist students with daily living needs including toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility support
•Support students receiving behavioral or social-emotional interventions
•Assist with g-tube feeding and other medically related support as directed by school staff
•Reinforce instructional activities, classroom routines, and transition support
•Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
•Collaborate with teachers, therapists, nursing staff, and campus support teams
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
•Associate’s Degree or higher
•Completion of at least 48 college credits and High School Diploma
•Passing CBEST score and High School Diploma
•Passing Instructional Aide Exam and High School Diploma
Preferred Background
•Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or behavioral support aide
•Experience supporting students with Autism, behavioral needs, or significant disabilities
•Comfortable assisting with personal care and medically fragile student support
•School-based or Special Education experience strongly preferred
Compensation & Support
•$26–$30 per hour
