Blazer Jobs is currently seeking motivated and student-focused Paraprofessionals for an Extended School Year (ESY) summer opportunity in San Francisco, CA. We partner with school districts nationwide to provide specialized support services that help students continue making progress toward their educational and developmental goals during the summer session.
Position Overview:
•School-based ESY summer contract assignment
•Opportunities available across multiple school sites and programs, including:
oPreK
oElementary School
oMiddle School
oHigh School
oCommunity-Based Programs
•Hours will vary based on assignment needs and typically range from 20–30 hours per week
•Collaborative environment with teachers, therapists, and support staff
•Strong potential for contract renewal for the upcoming school year based on performance and district needs
•Compensation ranges from $22-$28 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
•Assist teachers and staff with classroom instruction and daily activities
•Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to students
•Support implementation of IEP accommodations and classroom modifications
•Work with individual students and small groups as directed
•Assist with classroom organization, supervision, and documentation
•Support students with daily living and personal care needs as assigned
•Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment during ESY services
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:
•Associate’s degree or higher
•At least 48 completed college units and a high school diploma
•Passing score on the CBEST and a high school diploma
•Passing score on the Instructional Aide Exam and a high school diploma
Additional Requirements:
•Paraprofessionals are assigned to school sites based on campus needs
•Candidates must be comfortable supporting students with a variety of needs and responsibilities, which may include:
oToileting and diapering assistance
oFeeding support
oG-tube feeding support
oAdditional classroom and personal care assistance as needed
