Special Education Teacher | Harvey, Louisiana

The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with a schedule of 35 hours per week.

What we’re seeking:

• Current, active Louisiana DOE certification with Special Education endorsement
• Only fully certified (no TA/TAT) Special Education Teachers considered
• Previous experience in a school or classroom setting preferred
• Ability to pass a district-required drug screen and fingerprint background check
• Readiness to fulfill all credentialing requirements promptly

Key responsibilities:

• Delivering specialized instruction and support to students on caseload (age group and specific assignment to be determined)
• Developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
• Adapting curriculum and teaching strategies based on individual student needs
• Maintaining thorough and accurate student records, progress notes, and reports
• Participating in professional development and ongoing communication with colleagues and administrators
