This contract position is full-time, spanning 35 hours each week and beginning August 24, 2026, with the assignment concluding June 10, 2027. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or a closely related field
- Strong experience using evidence-based instructional practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Direct experience in autism support or special education within school settings
- Proven background working in urban educational environments
- Able to complete all required PA clearances
- Must possess reliable transportation and be comfortable with onsite work without scheduling accommodations
- Prepared to be present between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM
- School experience is essential; comfort navigating district environments is a must
What You’ll Do:
- Train new and returning staff on best practices, student behavior plans, and updated procedures
- Help develop and support Verbal Repertoires for students, serving as an in-classroom model for evidence-based strategies
- Lead and facilitate ongoing training sessions, staff consultations, and classroom-based coaching
- Collaborate with external consultants to align with programmatic frameworks and district-wide initiatives
- Support individualized student programming, careful documentation, and monitoring of evidence-based practice implementation
- Act as a resource for staff, students, and administrators, especially during critical school periods
