Contract Dates: August 2025 June 2026 (20252026 School Year)
Caseload: Varies based on student needs
Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Counselor for a full-time, school-based role in Reserve, LA. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting the academic, social-emotional, and functional needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct counseling support and guidance to students, tailored to individual needs
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement strategies that support student success
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on academic, social, and emotional growth
Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and team members to exchange updates and provide support
Conduct assessments and maintain records to monitor student progress
Prepare for and actively participate in IEP, 504, or other relevant meetings related to student support
Valid Louisiana certification or license as a School Counselor or appropriate credential
Experience working in school settings preferred
Strong understanding of counseling techniques, academic support strategies, and social-emotional development
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain consistent documentation
Competitive pay starting at $42$52 per hour, based on experience
