DHH Teacher | Clarksville, Tennessee

Make an impact as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time, onsite position supports learners in the greater Nashville area, with assignments varying by school and student needs. You'll work closely with a diverse caseload to help students achieve their academic goals.

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee DOE teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• Experience working within a K-12 setting, supporting students at various grade levels
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor instruction for diverse learners
• Fingerprinting required—candidates will be guided through scheduling this background check
• Flexibility to work between multiple schools as needs arise

What You'll Do:

• Deliver direct instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels
• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
• Employ evidence-based teaching methods, adapting for various communication modes
• Support integration into general education settings as appropriate
• Track student progress and maintain thorough records
• Offer consultative support to classroom teachers and staff to ensure an accessible learning environment

Details:

• Contract role, Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• Assignments may be split between more than one campus depending on current needs
• Immediate openings available through late May 2026
