About the Opportunity
A growing property management firm in Dallas is looking to hire a Property Accountant to join their team.
This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on role within a lean environment, where you’ll gain exposure across the full accounting cycle and work closely with leadership and operations.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day property accounting across a portfolio of assets
- Leading month-end close and preparing financial statements
- Performing bank and account reconciliations
- Supporting budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Handling accounts payable/receivable oversight
- Assisting with year-end audits and tax coordination
- Working closely with property managers and internal teams
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting
What They’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in:
- Property accounting, real estate, or similar
- Strong understanding of:
- Financial reporting and month-end close
- Experience with:
- Multi-entity or property-level accounting (preferred)
- Proficiency in:
- Excel and accounting systems (Yardi)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
