A leading Commercial General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and field coordination while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Salary:
Up to $150,000
Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial construction projects from award through completion.
- Lead preconstruction efforts, including subcontractor buyout, permitting, scheduling, and project startup activities.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and monthly financial reporting.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, contracts, closeout documentation, and project records.
- Monitor project performance, labor productivity, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resolve construction, budgetary, scheduling, and stakeholder issues while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and contract obligations.
- Drive successful project outcomes that result in repeat business and long-term client relationships.
- Mentor and support the development of project management and operations personnel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Proven experience managing multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Bluebeam, and related construction management software.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing projects ranging from mid-size commercial developments to large-scale construction projects.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.
