Overview:
The Hospitality Intern will play a vital role in client interactions, front-desk operations, and office event coordination. This position is perfect for a student who is personable, enjoys helping others, and is interested in hospitality, client relations, or office management. Interns will gain hands-on experience in customer service, event coordination, and front-office operations, learning how to create a welcoming and professional environment for clients, guests, and employees. We are looking for an intern to work Monday and Wednesday from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients, visitors, and guests, ensuring a friendly and professional welcome.
- Manage front-desk operations, answer calls, and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Keep office reception areas organized and presentable.
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining meeting room availability.
- Provide hospitality support for office events, including setup, guest management, and logistics.
- Assist with office-related tasks such as handling mail, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining common areas.
- Utilize Canva to create client-friendly signage, informational materials, and event collateral.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Majors: Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student (rising junior or senior).
- Minimum 2.8 GPA with good academic standing.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and handle client interactions with ease.
- Proficiency in Canva for simple design tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
