Junior Software Developer - TS/CI Poly

Start your software career on a national security mission. About the role

Blackwatch supports the FBI's enterprise mobile and collaboration platforms within a zero-trust framework, enabling secure communication in both classified and unclassified environments. Our teams provide engineering, deployment, and ongoing support for these services at multiple FBI locations. As a Junior Software Developer, you'll work under supervision, applying core programming skills and helping troubleshoot software across these systems.

What you'll do

• Develop, test, and debug new software and enhancements to existing applications.
• Help integrate software with standard packages and automated deployment tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues with the team.
• Contribute to user documentation and training materials.
• Follow established coding standards and security protocols.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field [Check: if the contract labor category allows, change to 'Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience']
• 1 year of software development experience (certifications or past work may substitute)
• Basic understanding of coding, testing, and debugging
• Familiarity with enterprise security requirements and version control tools
• Active Top Secret clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
• US citizenship

Preferred qualifications

• Interest or experience in A/V or VTC system integrations
