Material Coordinator This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with excellent opportunity for growth. The Materials Controller I supports a variety of functions within the Supply Chain, with primary focus on the inventory management needs of the company. Interacting with all levels of the organization, self-starters with high energy, attention to detail, proficiency in material control and warehousing, along with related systems transaction capabilities will excel in this role. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintains safety at all timesUnloading and receipt of shipments using various material handling equipmentTransfers and put away of inventory to assigned locationsKitting of components for manufacturing work ordersReplenishment of inventory at the point of use on the manufacturing floor, (aka Water Spider).Routine cycle counting and participation in periodic physical inventoriesPicking , Packing, and Shipment of customer sales ordersProcessing of customer and supplier returnsPerforms daily transactions of materials and inventory movements in ERP systemMovement of materials throughout the facilityMaintains inventory stores to ensure compliance with 6’s standardsWorks in a safe and efficient mannerPerforms other duties as assigned Additional Skills and AttributesIndependent worker who can assess needs and determine prioritiesHigh level of attention to detail while operating in multi-tasking environmentAbility to lift packages weighing up 35 poundsEffective verbal and written communicate with individuals at all levels of the organizationExposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts. In particular, demand flow technology, pull management systems and inventory location systemsIntermediate skill level in MS Office applications, (word, excel, outlook).
