Job Summary
This role is responsible for conducting a variety of tests to ensure the quality and compliance of products with company and customer standards. The position plays a crucial part in supporting daily lab operations within a manufacturing environment, maintaining equipment, and accurately documenting results in designated systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and data analysis for production, quality control, and minor research purposes.
- Evaluate products to confirm adherence to plant and customer specifications before release.
- Authorize release of compliant products and report any discrepancies.
- Accurately document test results, readings, and observations in designated systems.
- Prepare chemical solutions for laboratory procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and field instrumentation.
- Conduct specialized tests such as Vomitoxin testing, farinograph analysis, and NIR diagnostics as per the schedule.
- Collect and prepare samples for starch, moisture, microbiological, and protein testing.
- Perform metal detector checks and sanitation tasks according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Adhere to all HACCP, FDA, GMP, EPA, OSHA, and company standards and guidelines.
- Support and comply with all food safety, quality, and legality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Strong attention to detail.
- Understanding and compliance with plant GMP and personnel practice requirements.

- Math skills for performing calculations related to lab testing.
- Knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
- Reliable attendance, with flexibility to work weekends or holidays as needed.
