This role is responsible for leading MEP commissioning activities, including L2–L5 testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and handover to client (H2C) for mission-critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support preconstruction, bidding, and procurement activities for mechanical and electrical systems
- Coordinate OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment and vendor activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop, maintain, and manage H2C and commissioning schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule (P6)
- Lead and support L2–L3 installation inspections and pre-functional testing
- Coordinate and support L4–L5 commissioning activities, including functional and integrated systems testing (IST)
- Manage and coordinate load bank testing, system startup, and performance validation for electrical and mechanical systems
- Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, CxA (Commissioning Authority), and ACx teams to ensure successful execution of testing activities
- Maintain commissioning documentation, including test reports, checklists, delay logs, and lessons learned
- Lead or participate in commissioning meetings (L2/L3, L4/L5, OAC, and coordination meetings) to track progress and resolve issues
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4 years of experience in commissioning, MEP construction, or mission-critical environments
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, HVAC, and cooling systems
- Experience with commissioning processes (L2–L5), IST, and system startup/testing
- Familiarity with OFCI equipment, vendor coordination, and field execution in complex construction environments
- Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6) and critical path tracking
