Private Equity Vice President

Blacklock Group are partnered with a strong, middle market, private equity firm who are looking for a Vice President to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market analysis and networking
• Lead due diligence processes, including financial modeling, industry research, and competitive analysis
• Develop and present detailed investment proposals to the Investment Committee
• Oversee the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions
• Coordinate with legal, financial, and operational advisors to ensure seamless deal execution
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company management teams
• Monitor and enhance the performance of portfolio companies
• Work closely with management teams to drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and value creation
• Prepare and present performance updates to internal stakeholders and investors
• Mentor and develop junior investment professionals, providing guidance on deal processes and career development
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred
• 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or a related sector
• Demonstrated success in sourcing, evaluating, and executing private equity transactions
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build and sustain relationships
• Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring junior team members
• In-depth knowledge of market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscapes
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence
