About the Firm
Our client, a leading Elite Boutique investment banking advisory firm headquartered in New York, is seeking a high-performing Investment Banking Analyst to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Execution: Support the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A, capital raises, and other strategic advisory transactions across the financial institutions sector, including banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and fintech platforms.
Client Interaction: Assist in preparing for client meetings and presentations, contributing to materials and supporting ongoing relationship management with senior executives across financial institutions.
Valuation & Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models tailored to FIG (including DCF, dividend discount models, trading comps, precedent transactions, and balance sheet-driven analyses).
Due Diligence: Support due diligence processes, including data room management, regulatory and financial analysis, industry research, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Marketing & Pitching: Prepare pitch books, presentations, and marketing materials for business development initiatives within the FIG sector.
Team Support: Work closely with Associates and senior bankers, contributing to deal execution and ensuring high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in investment banking or a related field (e.g., consulting, accounting, or corporate finance), with exposure to financial institutions preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution.
Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with FIG-specific valuation methodologies is a plus.
Sector Knowledge: Interest in the financial institutions landscape (including banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech) and awareness of key regulatory and market dynamics.
Work Ethic & Attitude: Strong attention to detail, high level of initiative, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Licensing: Progress toward or willingness to obtain Series 79 and 63.
