A very rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Avondale, due to the retirement of one of our long standing members of staff, for a Keystage One teacher.
The Headteacher and Governors at Avondale Primary School are excited to welcome an inspiring, conscientious and enthusiastic KS1 teacher to join our established Avondale team in providing quality, memorable learning experiences and opportunities for our children.

Purpose of the Role:

In addition, successful candidates should be able to:
- plan, implement and deliver an appropriate and adaptive curriculum for all pupils
- contribute to raising attainment of all pupils
- monitor and assess pupil’s progress to improve their quality of learning and personal growth
- undertake the professional duties and responsibilities of a teacher, as set out in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document
- support and be part of the coaching approach to school improvement
- assist and support pupil academic progress and emotional development
- work with colleagues as appropriate, to raise standards of attainment with the goal that all pupils make expected levels of progress or better

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to teach a short lesson as part of the interview process. This will be arranged for candidates who are invited to interview following shortlisting.
