Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes according to restaurant standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment
- Support food running duties by delivering orders promptly from the kitchen to dining areas
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and safe lifting practices to support kitchen operations
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support front-of-house staff with serving guests when needed, providing friendly in-person customer service
- Assist with cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
- Participate in banquet or special event setups as needed, contributing to guest services and overall hospitality
Experience
- Previous food service experience preferred, especially within restaurant or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety regulations is highly desirable
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Background in hotel or banquet settings can be advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe practices
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is beneficial but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued
