Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to create a welcoming environment and promote sales of beverages and food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
• Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and other supplies; assist with stock ordering as needed.
• Handle cash register operations, process payments, give accurate change, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication to ensure guest safety.
• Assist in training new team members on POS systems, beverage preparation techniques, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or banquet experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, and beverage development.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail in drink preparation and cleanliness.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately; retail math experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations.
• Experience with food service operations including catering or banquet settings is a plus.
• Strong communication skills coupled with teamwork orientation; ability to train others is advantageous.
• Hospitality industry experience demonstrating adaptability across various roles within the food industry is preferred.

Pay: $11.50 - $20.00 per hour
