Role: Sterile Processing Technician responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sterilization, and proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment.

- Receive, sort, clean, decontaminate, and log reusable instruments according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Operate cleaning and sterilization machinery, including washers and pasteurizers.
- Inspect, assemble, sterilize surgical tools, prepare trays, and monitor sterilizer settings.
- Lead department operations in the absence of the SPD Manager by organizing workflow and prioritizing tasks.
- Assist with staff training, competency testing, and serve as charge person for workflow and safety management.
- Collaborate with department staff, OR personnel, and managers to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and support decision-making and problem resolution.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum three years of Sterile Processing experience.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT).
- Must obtain Certified Endoscopy Reprocessor (CER) certification within one year if not already certified.
- Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) preferred.
