Role Overview: Provide compassionate nursing care at a facility for residents with severe disabilities and medical needs. Administer medications, perform skilled nursing procedures, and assist with physical examinations.
Responsibilities: Make rounds with physicians, set up and administer medications via various routes, perform sterile dressings, trach care, tube feedings, oxygen administration, catheterization, aerosol treatments, and specimen collection. Provide direct resident care, assist with personal grooming, hygiene, feeding, and educate residents. Observe, record, and report residents' conditions, responses, and incidents. May oversee direct care staff, monitor restorative care, maintain records, and participate in training and meetings.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid practical nurse license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Knowledge of general nursing care, ability to perform skilled procedures, and effective communication skills.
Key Duties: Resident assessments, medication administration, record-keeping, supervising care providers, and ensuring compliance with care plans.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification, biennial license renewal, vaccination against COVID-19, and flexibility for shift work including nights and weekends.
