Qualifications & Skills
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current licensure
- Experience in geriatric care
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Strong organizational skills and capacity to work under pressure
- Empathetic personality with professional appearance
- CPR certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to assess resident conditions and intervene appropriately
- Supervise nursing staff including HHAs and CNAs
- Conduct resident rounds and observe health status
- Administer medications and treatments per doctor's orders
- Report and document resident conditions and care activities
- Ensure proper equipment and supply management
- Assist with resident admissions and discharges
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Support staff training and development
