Certified Respiratory Therapist

Role: Certified Respiratory Therapist providing PRN respiratory care in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities Include

• Performing patient assessments and managing ventilators and non-invasive support
• Obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Delivering aerosol and oxygen therapies
• Responding to emergencies in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Following evidence-based protocols and ensuring accurate electronic medical record documentation
• Upholding safety and infection control standards
• Educating patients and families about respiratory care
