Black Oak Insulation & Gutters is seeking an experienced Lead Spray Foam Installer to run a spray foam truck, lead a crew, and deliver high-quality installations across the Middle Tennessee market. This position is for a hands-on leader with proven experience managing production, maintaining equipment, and if necessary being able to troubleshoot a spray foam rig in the field.
Schedule
- 5 days weekly & often 6 days per week
- Consistent, year-round work
Position Summary
The Lead Spray Foam Installer is responsible for leading daily jobsite production, operating a spray foam rig and DOT box truck, maintaining equipment readiness, and ensuring foam is installed to required specifications. This role requires a strong technical background in spray foam application and spray rig troubleshooting, along with the ability to lead and develop crew performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a spray foam crew and manage daily jobsite production
- Drive and safely operate a DOT box truck and spray foam rig
- Perform spray foam installations according to manufacturer standards and job specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot spray foam equipment (proportioner, hoses, guns, pumps, heaters, pressure and temperature issues, etc.)
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure equipment is job-ready each day
- Maintain safety and cleanliness standards on the jobsite and in the truck/rig
- Communicate job progress, material needs, and any issues to management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a spray foam truck as a crew lead
- Ability to drive a DOT box truck
- DOT Medical Card (current) or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Spray foam certification (current) or ability to obtain certification (testing provided; must be able to pass required exams)
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and maintain spray foam equipment
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a 6-day schedule
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in both residential and light commercial spray foam applications
- Ability to train and coach crew members to improve quality and production
- Familiarity with safety compliance and jobsite documentation
