Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Spray Foam Installer to join our construction team. This role involves overseeing spray foam insulation projects, ensuring quality workmanship, and leading installation crews on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, extensive construction experience, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Lead Installer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality insulation solutions for commercial and residential projects, maintaining safety standards, and coordinating project timelines effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise spray foam installation crews to ensure efficient and accurate application of insulation materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installation procedures.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as airless paint sprayers with precision.
- Prepare surfaces by caulking, trimming, or applying other necessary finishing techniques to ensure proper insulation adherence.
- Conduct site inspections to verify project specifications and quality standards are met throughout each phase of installation.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain safety protocols on-site, including proper handling of materials and equipment related to spray foam insulation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with spray equipment and perform basic fabrication or repairs as needed.
- Provide mentorship and training to crew members on best practices for spray foam application and related construction tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work, including familiarity with roofing, framing, masonry, or related trades such as carpentry or plastering.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other relevant machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems or metal stud framing is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and construction plans accurately.
- Experience with caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, concrete finishing, or masonry work is advantageous.
- Knowledge of construction painting techniques and metal stud framing is desirable.
- Prior leadership experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
- Valid safety certifications relevant to construction work are preferred but not mandatory.
