Position Overview
The Senior Digital Marketing & Technology Specialist is responsible for the strategy, execution, and optimization of the company’s digital marketing infrastructure. This role bridges marketing and technology, with ownership of SEO, paid media, website performance, analytics, reporting, and system integrations.
The position also owns recurring performance reporting across SEO, paid media, website, and lead-generation channels. This individual is expected to go beyond simply reporting metrics by identifying trends, diagnosing performance changes, clearly communicating what is improving or declining and why, and recommending actionable next steps. A proactive approach to identifying issues, opportunities, and areas for optimization is essential.
This individual will work closely with the CIO and CMO to ensure all digital platforms, campaigns, and tracking systems are operating efficiently, accurately, and driving measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
SEO Strategy & Execution
- Own and lead the company’s SEO strategy across all service lines and markets
- Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis
- Monitor rankings, traffic, and performance trends using tools (e.g., SEMrush, Google Search Console)
- Optimize on-page and technical SEO (site structure, metadata, schema, page speed, indexing)
- Partner with Creative Marketing Strategist to guide blog strategy, ensuring content aligns with SEO goals
- Identify and implement local SEO strategies, including service area optimization
Website Development & Optimization
- Manage and maintain company websites across platforms (WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Build and optimize landing pages for campaigns, ensuring conversion best practices
- Improve website performance including speed, UX, mobile responsiveness, and conversion rates
- Implement tracking scripts, pixels, and tagging across all digital properties
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure site uptime and functionality
Paid Media Management
- Plan, create, and optimize paid media campaigns across:
- Google Ads (Search, Performance Max)
- Local Services Ads (LSA)
- Microsoft/Bing Ads
- Manage budgets across multiple markets and service lines
- Monitor campaign performance and make real-time optimizations
- Conduct keyword strategy, bid adjustments, and audience targeting
- Ensure proper conversion tracking and attribution across all campaigns
Data, Reporting & Analytics
- Build and maintain dashboards (Data Studio preferred) for:
- Paid media performance
- SEO performance
- Lead tracking and attribution
- Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth
- Ensure data accuracy across all platforms and reporting tools
Marketing Technology & Integrations
- Develop and maintain integrations between platforms using APIs
- Support CRM, email marketing, and lead tracking systems (e.g., ActiveCampaign or similar)
- Ensure proper data flow between systems (Google Ads, LSA, CRM, analytics tools)
- Implement automation where possible to improve efficiency and reporting
- Partner with CIO on technical infrastructure and system improvements
Local Listings & Reputation Management
- Manage and optimize Google Business Profile listings across all locations
- Ensure consistency of NAP (Name, Address, Phone) across platforms
- Monitor performance and visibility in local search and map pack rankings
- Support review generation and reputation monitoring strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Creative team on SEO-driven content
- Marketing leadership on paid media campaign strategy and budgeting
- CIO on technical initiatives and infrastructure
Provide technical guidance to improve marketing effectiveness across departments and other tasks assigned
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or similar role
- Strong experience in SEO (technical, on-page, and local SEO)
- Proven experience managing paid media campaigns (Google Ads, PPC, LSA)
- Experience with website platforms such as WordPress and/or Webflow
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting tools (Looker Studio preferred)
- Experience with conversion tracking, tagging, and analytics platforms
- Working knowledge of APIs, data integrations, and marketing systems
- Coding experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript required; additional languages a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong front-end web development and technical troubleshooting experience, with the ability to implement and maintain marketing-related website functionality, tracking, integrations and landing pages.
- Experience in home services or multi-location businesses
- Familiarity with tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, etc.)
- Understanding of attribution modeling and lead tracking systems
