Maintenance Team Lead Night Shift

Black Bear Talent is hiring a Night Shift Maintenance Lead in Waynesboro, VA!

This is more than a maintenance role you’ll be the go-to leader on nights, owning equipment reliability, supporting your team, and keeping production on track when it matters most.

Qualifications:

• Lead and support maintenance technicians during overnight operations
• Respond to equipment issues and direct repairs to minimize downtime
• Jump in hands-on during critical breakdowns when needed
• Coach and develop your team while setting clear expectations
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability and maintenance processes
• Partner with production to plan and execute maintenance work
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with standards
• Assist with inventory, parts, and cost control

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
• At least 1 year leading or supervising a team
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience with PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
• Familiarity with drives, HMIs, and industrial controls
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
• Able to work around noise, dust, and varying temperatures
