Environmental Services Team Member

Black Bear Talent is now hiring for night shift positions in the Environmental Services (EVS) Department!

Join a team that plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Whether your strength is detailed cleaning or advanced floor care, these roles are essential to infection prevention and overall facility operations.

This role is scheduled for night shift, working either 3:00PM - 11:30PM or 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Team members are expected to work every other weekend on a rotating basis.

Qualifications:

• Perform daily cleaning and disinfection using established procedures and protocols
• Maintain public areas including restrooms, corridors, offices, lounges, and common spaces
• Complete vacancy and deep cleaning projects to meet quality and time standards
• Operate and maintain housekeeping and floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and carpet extractors
• Perform floor care tasks including stripping, waxing, sealing, polishing, and restorative maintenance
• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste safely and properly
• Replenish supplies including soap, paper products, and other essentials
• Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
• Inspect and store equipment properly to maintain performance and safety
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Document completed work and communicate effectively with team members and leadership

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in EVS, custodial, industrial cleaning, or healthcare environments required
• Floor care experience, including stripping and refinishing, strongly preferred for some roles
• Ability to operate powered cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment

Additional Requirements:

• Availability for night shift, every other weekends, and holiday rotations as needed
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
