What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cybersecurity Engineering Lead position at BKV Corporation?
π Cybersecurity Engineering Lead | BKV Corporation | Denver or Fort Worth
We're not looking for a checkbox. We're looking for a builder.
BKV Corporation (NYSE: BKV) is one of the largest natural gas producers in the Barnett Shale β and we're building something few energy companies can claim: a fully integrated, closed-loop energy platform spanning upstream production, midstream infrastructure, power generation, and carbon capture (CCUS).
That platform needs protecting. All of it.
This lead role is for the cybersecurity professional who has lived at the intersection of OT and IT β who knows what it means to secure a SCADA environment, not just describe one. Who has navigated NERC CIP and SOX compliance from the inside. Who can lead a team, own an incident response, and brief the C-suite β all in the same week.
You bring:
- 7 years in cybersecurity with real OT/ICS hands-on experience
- Deep familiarity with ICS/SCADA environments and network segmentation for field operations
- NERC CIP and/or SOX compliance ownership β not just awareness
- SIEM, firewall, endpoint, and identity/access management depth
- Leadership experience managing teams and vendor relationships
- Energy sector background (upstream, midstream, utilities, or pipeline)
- GICSP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent β preferred, not required if your experience speaks for itself
What makes BKV different:
- NYSE-listed stability with a growth-stage company's pace and ambition
- A fully integrated energy platform β upstream, midstream, power generation, and CCUS β with real OT complexity
- A lean, high-performing team where your work is visible and your impact is immediate
- Up to 20% travel
This is a critical role β we are moving fast.
If you secure OT environments, think independently, and want to do meaningful work at the forefront of low-carbon energy, let's talk.
