This is a unique role to join a team of bookkeepers supporting our clients, small to mid-sized businesses. This team is our CAS group (Client Accounting Services) under BKC, CPAs, PC. CAS groups are one of the fastest growing departments in CPA firms around the world. Our CAS group receives constant training, works closely with one another and our clients love them! We offer flexibility in terms of hours, for this part-time role. Our firm works hard but we also have tons of fun! We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper with at least 1 year experience with Quick Books Online (this part is a must) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software, including Quick Books Online and Desktop.
- Preparation of payroll and sales tax returns.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Analysis and recording of bank and credit activity
- Credit card reconciliation
- Preparation of bank reconciliations
- Perform general ledger accounting and ensure all entries are correctly recorded.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online a must.
- Strong understanding of technical accounting principles, including debits and credits.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial forecasting techniques is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper required.
