Manager Notes:
- We are hiring for a new Org within global
technology. This is the Technical Product Management (TPM). These roles are all within e-commerce
section. The manager will need Product
Managers with a Technical background. A
development background is helpful. Almost all of them need to be able to understand and participate in
technical solutioning and engage with the business partners. We need a mix of
both. I will look for someone with an
ability to engage with the business partner – don’t always agree with what is
being put forward. To understand the eco
system and the weakness of the platforms. Participate actively and vocally in these convos. On the technology side I would want them to
hold the engineering counter parts responsible for delivery and actively
participate in technology solutions.
- Deep expertise within mobile apps – worked on
large scale mobile apps before. How have you implemented ab testing for
your app – putting in the technology that enables the AB test – building the
foundation for the mobile app to be great. What is a typical life cycle of an app customer. They should understand this level of experience.
When they install the app why do they uninstall it – how can we regain more
customers through technical solutions. This is a technical role not on
the UX aspect of mobile apps. Can have android or iOS they don’t need
both. The candidate does not need to have any UX experience for this
role.
Duties:
- Envision, plan and
execute on a mobile app platform for all company consumer apps.
- Focus on developing
reusable app-specific frameworks e.g. for location, notifications, 3rd party
SDKs, attribution, tagging, localization etc.
- Work with engineering
and other teams to understand internal pain points in the current app ecosystem.
- Track and bring
visibility to app acquisition and retention metrics, dive deep into how the
mobile platform can help improve these metrics.
- Prior experience as a
product manager for a consumer mobile app with > 1 million MAUs
- Prior experience in
native app metrics and growth
- Understanding of
platform guidelines for iOS and/or Android apps.
