Position Overview
BizFirst is supporting our
client in identifying a People & Talent Specialist to lead recruiting and
culture-building efforts for a growing US office. This is a founding role with
high autonomy and high impact. You won't be filling reqs. You'll be building
something.
Our client is a fast-growing
global data and AI consultancy with operations across three continents. They've
built a consultant-first culture anchored in real investment in their people,
proprietary training, and deep partnerships with platforms like Snowflake,
Databricks, and Google Cloud. The US arm has the backing of an established
global brand with the energy and ambition of a New York startup.
The Mission: Build the Foundation
Your mission is twofold: hunt
the most brilliant technical minds in the data and AI ecosystem, and build a
culture so compelling they never want to leave. You'll have a seat at the table
to define what this company's culture means in the US market. You'll be the
face of the company to elite Data Engineers, Cloud Architects, and DevOps
specialists.
What You'll Be Driving
Culture & Community (The
Heartbeat)
- You're the "Vibe Keeper." You'll define and
protect the values, ensuring that as the company scales, it doesn't lose the
scrappy, smart, and social energy that makes it special.
- From curated team offsites and mixers to meaningful
employee engagement initiatives, you'll make sure distributed and local teams
feel like one unit.
- You'll represent the company at industry events,
partner with channel sales teams, and turn the office into a hub for the NY
tech community.
Talent Architecture (The
Growth Engine)
- Move beyond the LinkedIn cold spray. You'll leverage a
deep, existing network of technical talent in Data, Cloud, and Fintech to build
a world-class consultancy.
- Design a high-touch, frictionless interview process
that mirrors the company's technical sophistication. Make every candidate feel
like they're joining a mission, not just a job.
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and
build a sustainable pipeline that outpaces competitors.
Who You Are
This role is People &
Culture first, recruiting second. You set the tone for how people experience
this company, from first touchpoint through their entire career here.
- 4 years technical recruiting (Data/AI/Cloud).
- Bachelors preferred but not required.
- The Culture Builder: High-energy and intentional

- The Technical Recruiter: 4 years recruiting in
Data, AI, Cloud, or Engineering (agency or in-house). You speak the language of

- The Brand Ambassador: You know the New York tech
scene: the events, the meetups, the rooms where data and AI talent actually
spend time. You'll be the company's face in those circles.
- The Storyteller: You turn a complex technical
vision into a compelling human narrative. Every candidate should feel like
they're joining a mission.
- The Grinder: Agency-level grit. Building a team
from scratch in a new market is hard. You don't stop when the first outreach
doesn't land. You find a way.
