About us
We are growing and ready to add a Pastry Chef to our staff. We are searching for an energetic morning person, who loves baking and has proven experience in pastries, desserts, cake decorating, and looking for a part time or full-time position in a fast-paced specialty kitchen. We bake a wide variety of pastries and desserts, fresh-from-scratch. Only candidates with previous bakery/baking experience will be considered.
Bistro To Go is a European- influenced bistro in Jefferson, GA. Services include full barista bar, grab & go meals & snacks, unique variety of sandwiches, paninis, fresh pastries, desserts, take home meals, and catering. We are a division of Thyme to Cater, a professional, full service catering company, customer-centered with a goal to provide the highest quality food and service while maintaining a fun and professional work atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment required
- Previous experience in bakery setting required
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Dependable to work early mornings 3-5 days per week (shift begins at 4:00 a.m.)

We are looking for a professional, friendly, fast-learning, self-starter with an interest in growing with our company. Dependable, proven skills, experience, and good attitude required.
Responsibilities:
- Baker's shift begins at 4:00 a.m.
-Prep shifts are flexible and morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options are available
- First to arrive, bake all muffins and pastries for the day
- Make batters, doughs, and other prep
- Make desserts and keep the desserts stocked, ensuring high quality and appearance
- Follow to-do lists to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Assist in preparation of bulk baked goods and desserts for daily bistro customers as well as catering events
- Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications as set by the chef
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food and supplies
- Ensure all food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
