Forklift Driver-3rd Shift 11pm-7am

SCOPE:

Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals.  Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance. 

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

1. Uses appropriate safety measures
2. Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained
3. Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
4. Follows applicable work instructions.
5. Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
6. Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
7. Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: Forklift

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Transfer all materials as required.

SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Maintain forklift as described in operating instructions.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Make safety and maintenance checks on forklift and inform supervisor of any repairs needed. Check Sunbeam Annealer (1003) for packaging and supply as needed. Supply Annealer with materials to be annealed as required. Keep Benders supplied with empty boxes and hoppers.  Remove finished hairpin boxes, weigh, record as required. Keep finishing machines supplied with empty pallets and hoppers as needed. Remove finished materials to storage area. Keep Strand Annealers and Saws supplied with empty hoppers. Remove full hoppers, weigh, record weight on tab. Perform weight checks daily on Commodity products.  Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must pass depth perception test. Must pass all physical requirements. Must exhibit high regard for safety of self and others. Must be willing to work overtime as required.
