What are the responsibilities and job description for the Annealer Operator 1003-1004 - 2nd Shift 3pm-11pm position at BISON METALS TECHNOLOGIES LLC?
SCOPE:
Under the direction of the supervisor, workers perform production, maintenance or janitorial duties as assigned to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for an has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality non-conformance.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

- Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
- Follows applicable work instructions.
- Use good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
- Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.

TOOLING & EQUIPMENT: hacksaw or tube cutter
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION: Operate annealer so as to produce required grain size of the tubing being annealed.
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTION: Load tubing on the annealer, start up and shut down of annealer quality check of annealed tube.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Set up annealer (proper temperature and roller speed to ensure desired grain size of tubing-depending on physical properties of tubing). Get stock, take to annealer, blow out chips from tubing. Load annealer including short length for grain size check. Adjust temperature and speed for load quantity when required. Maintain records on all annealed stock (customer, P.O. Numbers, Quantity, and grain size). Maintains normal attention to details of annealing operation. Purge tubing as required. Direct crew as necessary. Operator responsible for quality and all functions of the annealing operation. Keep assigned machinery and work area neat, clean, and orderly. Follow all safety and shop rules. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: A knowledge of annealer temperatures, loads, limits, and safe operating techniques. Must know and perform proper start up and shut down procedures to ensure safety of self and others. Is responsible for direction of annealer crew.
