POSITION SUMMARY
This position directs daily shift operations in the Cage / Main Vault. Assist in the development of policies and procedures. Assist directly in department functions to include planning, scheduling and inter-departmental training and liaison for cashier’s activities. Will greet and welcome customers assisting them to create a friendly atmosphere. Perform cashier and vault attendant duties as necessary and assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Supervises daily cage and main vault shift work on assigned shift.
- Performs Guest Service / Vault Attendant duties when necessary and as assigned.
- Responsible for assisting in the training of new personnel in all cashier and main vault functions.
- Cover all shifts (by calling in personnel, etc.) on short notice for emergencies and/or sickness. Fill in when needed.
- Perform random checks of cashiers to ensure compliance of procedures and Internal Control Systems. Report all violations in writing to Cash Operations Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
- Complies with and enforce Bishop Paiute Gaming Enterprises Internal Controls, Federal Cash Reporting Requirements (Title 31) and Casino Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Must be able to work and supervise any shift including splits, evenings, weekends and Holidays according to established procedures. Must be available or call-ins as required.
- Poor attendance or a poor attitude will not be tolerated. Must be cooperative with all departments assisting wherever necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Casino Operations data.
- Maintains an effective, efficient and clean work environment.
- An excellent appearance is required at all times. Complies with uniform policy and safety apparel code.
- Must be friendly and courteous.
- May keep tips that receive directly from guests based on your service that directly and solely you provide. (i.e., acting in the capacity of a cashier to keep operations running, per DOL Regulations).
- Completes other duties and assignments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, HSED or GED is required. Additional education beyond high school, and job-related experience would take precedence in selection
- At least two (2) years of cashier or money handling experience required.
- Two (2) years of supervisor experience required.
- If none of the applicants should meet the stated qualifications, applicants whose education and experience are less that the stated requirements may be interviewed and hired.
- Ability to use a Ten Key Adding Machine.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate in English with customers, co-workers and Management is required.
- Ability to inform and communicate orally and in writing in diverse and challenging situations is required.
- Ability to process information effectively to learn new materials, identify, and define problems and to make decisions is required.
- Knowledge and proficient in basic mathematics.
- Ability to become familiar with all cage functions.
- Must possess ability to interact with the public and fellow employees, demonstrating respect, tact, courtesy, objectivity and maturity to develop an effective and cooperative working relationship.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Ability and willingness to attend additional training is required.
- Able to hear and speak effectively in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to work various schedules, on an as-needed basis; as work schedules could vary and will involve day, evening or nighttime hours during the week and/or on weekends.
- Cannot have any cash related criminal convictions.
- Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check.
- Must pass pre-employment drug test.
