A Typical Day
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and motivate supervisors and frontline teams
- Establish departmental goals, policies, and procedures
- Foster teamwork, accountability, and a service-focused culture
- Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, and security operations
- Implement preventive maintenance and efficient scheduling
- Assess performance, staffing needs, and equipment usage
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate staff
- Conduct performance reviews and manage corrective actions
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development
- Develop and manage the departmental budget
- Ensure responsible use of resources and community funds
- Maintain timely and accurate financial processes
- Partner with clinical, administrative, and operational teams
- Participate in facility committees as needed
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and regulatory requirements
