SAFETY SPECIALIST

Bishop & Company is partnering with a respected Hawai‘i-based energy logistics and distribution organization to identify a Safety Specialist to support multi-island operations. This newly created role plays a key part in advancing safety, security, and emergency preparedness across a 24/7 operational environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support and strengthen safety systems, safe work practices, and incident investigations
- Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and coordination
- Manage safety equipment, documentation, and SDS databases
- Deliver training and actively promote a strong safety culture
- Respond as needed during emergency situations across multiple islands
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in safety, security, or emergency management
- Strong safety foundation; emergency response experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of OSHA standards and experience delivering training or presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint required)
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card within 60 days
- Experience in energy, retail, construction, or fuel storage environments is a plus
- Prior exposure to large-scale energy or fuel distribution operations is highly valued
- Degree not required
This is an in-office/on-site role with interisland travel as needed. Availability outside regular business hours is required due to 24/7 operations. No supervisory responsibilities.
