JOB DESCRIPTION: The IB/AP/Specialty Schools Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), and specialty school programs across the district. This position ensures program compliance, supports instructional quality, and promotes student success through strategic planning, professional development, and stakeholder engagement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: · Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities effectively. · Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving skills. · Proficiency in educational technology and program management tools. · Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the district liaison with IB Organization, College Board, and specialty school programs requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all IB, AP, and specialty program requirements, including reporting and audits.
- Collaborate with school leaders to implement and monitor IB and AP curriculum frameworks.
- Develop and deliver professional development for teachers and administrators on program standards and instructional strategies.
- Support student recruitment, enrollment, and retention for specialty programs; coordinate outreach and marketing efforts.
- Analyze student performance data to identify trends and implement improvement strategies.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively.
- Communicate program goals, updates, and opportunities to parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field (required).
- Valid teaching certificate and administrative experience (preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in secondary education, with exposure to IB, AP, or specialty programs.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, and assessment strategies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
