Full-Time Long Term Care Transport Driver – Birkwood Village/Montrose Health Center (Ft. Madison & Montrose)

Birkwood Village–Ft. Madison/Montrose Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Transport Driver to support our residents at both locations. This role offers 10–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and other essential visits
- Ensure a comfortable, respectful, and dignified ride experience for all residents
- Call clinics and providers to schedule appointments, confirm details, and coordinate transportation needs
- Follow up on upcoming and completed appointments to ensure continuity of care
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly and professionally over the phone
- Embrace and uphold the mission and values of Birkwood Village/Montrose Health Center each day
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or push 50 lbs or more
- Valid Chauffeur's License
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background screening
- Availability primarily between 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with potential for additional call-in hours (bonus pay available for after-hours transport)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate well when speaking with clinics, families, and staff
