Position Summary
The Fulfillment Technician performs various fulfillment activities in the pharmacy. This role is responsible for accurately assembling and preparing orders for shipment.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Includes a production environment, with exposure to excessive noise, heavy machinery and temperature-controlled environment with minimal exposure to adverse environmental issues. Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, pull, push boxes and manipulate equipment which requires strength, gross motor and fine motor coordination. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and kneel.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Assemble and package prescription orders; prepare for shipment
- Organize daily delivery orders and place in the appropriate work areas
- Monitor work area to ensure adequate supplies; restock as needed
- Verify prescription order packages are accounted for
- Record shipping data and complete reports
- Perform quality assurance check on packaged orders to ensure accuracy
- Provide support to fulfillment department including pulling and rotating stock in fulfillment area
- Cross train in other areas to be able to assist other departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and data in accordance with policies
- A knowledgeable individual with appropriate industry experience, preferably in healthcare or mail order/specialty pharmacy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- A well-organized and self-directed individual who can work with minimal amount of supervision

- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to become Registered as Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy or Registered as Pharmacy Technician with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy or Certified as a Pharmacy Technician and licensed through the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
- Knowledge of pharmacy fulfillment practices, preferably in mail order/specialty pharmacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry related software programs
- Prior experience in Retail, Mail Order, Specialty Pharmacy, PBM, pharmaceutical or managed health care industry preferred
