Birch Agency is seeking NICU Registered Nurse to join our team!
We are actively seeking a skilled NICU Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional, compassionate care to critically ill or premature newborn infants in Chester County, PA. The RN will expertly monitor neonatal patients, administer necessary treatments, operate advanced life-support equipment, and work collaboratively with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for infants and comprehensive support for their families.
Responsibilities
- Level 3 care, CPAP, Vents, UVC lines, support in L&D at deliveries when needed, provides strong Developmental care
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonates in critical condition.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and overall health status of newborns.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition (including TPN) as prescribed.
- Operate and manage neonatal equipment such as incubators, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
- Assist with procedures including intubation, resuscitation, and line placements.
- Provide developmental and family-centered care to support infant growth and bonding.
- Educate and support parents/guardians on infant care, feeding, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency interventions.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
