Early Childhood Special Education Teacher

Job Position: Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Location: Dearborn Heights, MI 48125 Pay Rate: $50.00/hr Shift: Description: To create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of young children. The teacher will foster curiosity, independence, and a love of learning through play-based and structured activities, while building strong partnerships with families and collaborating with colleagues to support each child s success. Qualifications & Responsibilities: Bachelor's Degree required Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement required Major or minor in Early Childhood Education or Child Growth & Development required ZA or ZS endorsement required Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Monitor and document student progress and development Communicate regularly with families regarding student needs and progress Support positive behavior and social-emotional growth Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs Maintain classroom safety and organization Participate in IEP meetings and team collaboration as needed Engage in ongoing professional development and training Why Work with Birch Agency
