Job Description
A General Laborer performs hands-on physical work to support operations in industries like construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and landscaping. They prep job sites, handle materials, and assist skilled workers.
Core Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear work areas, remove debris, dig trenches, and set up safe access paths or temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, stack, and transport supplies, tools, and equipment using dollies, wheelbarrows, or pallet jacks.
- Trades Support: Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, or machine operators by holding materials, fetching tools, and clearing space.
- Equipment & Tool Operation: Use basic hand and power tools (such as drills, saws, and mixers) safely following site rules.
- Safety & Upkeep: Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), follow OSHA guidelines, and clean the workspace daily.
- Physical Fitness: High stamina and the ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift heavy items (often 30 to 40 lbs) for long shifts.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic job site safety standards,
- Reliability: Dependable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions from a supervisor.
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Lunch (unpaid) : 30 minutes
- Dress Code: Business Casual
