Job Summary:
The EH&S Tech reports to the EH&S Supervisor and is responsible for performing assigned tasks while developing their knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and applicable organizational policies and best practices. This position supports the organization’s safety compliance vision and strategic direction. The EH&S Tech is responsible for supporting business units by working with the EHS team to implement OSHA Programs and other initiatives. The EH&S Tech will provide guidance on EH&S policies and procedures to employees across the organization, promoting a strong safety and compliance culture, and educating and training employees.
Main Responsibilities:
- Builds knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations and policies through continuous training and professional development
- Provides EH&S guidance for production and maintenance activities
- Assists with EH&S incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Supports the successful implementation of OSHA Programs and other processes as identified
- Assists with inspections and associated corrective actions
- Drives continuous improvement and strengthen current processes
- Assists in the development of EH&S course materials and conduct training as required
- Assists with EH&S related awareness and communications
- Provides support in the implementation of emergency planning initiatives as well as business continuity
- Drives and supports a culture focused on safety
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Basic computer skills (Word PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

- Ability to work in environments that are hot, loud and dusty
