Title: Production Manager

Reports To: Production Management

Location: Greenwood, SC

Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of production to ensure it meets BiltWise's quality standards. This includes managing the coordination, planning, execution, and supervision of the production process in the creation of modular homes. The role ensures that all production activities are efficient, safe, and compliant with regulations, while meeting the project timelines and quality expectations.

Business Outcomes:

• BiltWise homes leave the production facility fully completed, on time, and meeting all quality, safety, and code requirements.
• Production activities are completed with precision, contributing to the overall efficiency, craftsmanship, and profitability of our modular homes.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and manage the entire production process, from planning to final assembly, ensuring all departments (e.g., framing, electrical, plumbing, finishing) work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
• Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and supervision of production activities to ensure that project timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.
• Monitor the performance of production teams, ensuring that work is completed safely and according to specifications, and making adjustments as necessary to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with other departments (e.g., engineering, procurement, and quality control) to ensure that materials are available, production processes are streamlined, and all homes meet regulatory standards before site delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, health and safety regulations, and company policies during the production process.
• Identify and resolve any production issues or defects before the homes are shipped to the site, maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production workflows, reduce waste, and improve safety on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment to ensure optimal safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of production processes in the construction or modular home industry.
• Skilled in leadership, with the ability to manage large teams and coordinate across multiple departments.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, department heads, and upper management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve production issues.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project specifications, and schedules.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within a production environment.
• Ability to manage production budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Physical stamina for occasional oversight in the production environment, which may involve standing, walking, and lifting.

• Adequate hearing to detect alarms or verbal instructions in a noisy environment.

• Ability to work in varying conditions (e.g., exposure to extreme temperatures, outdoor environments, or noisy spaces).
• Tolerance to potential exposure to chemicals, fumes, dust, or hazardous materials (if applicable).

• Endurance

• Ability to maintain physical activity for long periods, often under strenuous conditions.
• Capacity to respond to emergency situations (e.g., physical agility for quick movements)
