### Position Summary
We are hiring a Plumber to support the modular home construction process. The Plumber will install, test, and troubleshoot plumbing systems within modular home units in our production facility. The ideal candidate has experience in residential plumbing, understands current plumbing codes, and thrives in a fast-paced, team environment.
### Key Responsibilities
#### Installation:
- Install water supply lines, drain-waste-vent (DWV) systems, and fixtures in modular units
- Fit and secure piping using a variety of materials (PVC, PEX, copper, etc.)
- Install sinks, toilets, water heaters, tubs, and other plumbing appliances
- Pressure-test piping systems to detect leaks or weak connections
- Inspect completed work for code compliance and quality
- Identify and resolve plumbing issues during and after installation
- Follow plumbing layouts, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Ensure work complies with local and national plumbing codes
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
- Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, and carpentry teams to ensure seamless unit assembly
- Report issues to supervisors and participate in quality control procedures
- Assist or mentor junior plumbing team members when needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in residential or modular plumbing
- Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or trade program preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing codes, systems, and tools
- Ability to read blueprints and layout drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Valid plumbing license or certification (preferred or as required by NM law)
- Indoor, climate-controlled factory setting
- May involve lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, standing for long periods, and working in tight areas
- Regular use of hand and power tools
- Compliance with all safety standards and use of PPE is mandatory
